Commission Process
- You, the client, will thoroughly read through our Commission FAQs and proceed to send us a Commission Request email with the following info:
- Full description of your commission idea
- At least (3) photo references of your idea
- Personal statement that you read through the Commission FAQs and agree to everything mentioned
- Once received, we we look over the commission request and get back to you within 2-3 business days
- If needed, we will ask you to provide additional information about your commission
- Your commission request will either be approved or politely declined (see Commission Styles)
- If your commission was approved but there are no commission slots open, you will be put on our waiting list (in order of commission requests received) and later notified when it is your turn
- Once the commission details and references are compiled, we will give you the commission price quote
- You may accept and continue on or decline and cancel your commission
- The commission officially begins once Invoice #1 is paid for and received by us
- A commission typically takes 2-3 weeks to be completed. To make the process go smoothly, we kindly ask that you:
- Provide reference photos that align with your vision of your commission (the more references, the better)
- Be detailed and precise with any changes you want made
- Check your email daily and respond to WIP updates in a timely matter (we cannot progress with the commission until your input is given for each update)
- A rough sketch will be created within 3-4 business days and shared with you for your input/approval
- During this stage, you are encouraged to ask for any changes to the sketch. Please be as detailed and specific as you can. You will not be charged for changes made at this stage of the commission process
- Once you approve a sketch, we will move forward to the digital drawing stage. Expect an WIP update within 5-7 business days. From there, we will go back and forth with minor changes as needed until the commission is finalized
- Minor changes include:
- Changing colors
- Adding social media handles
- Slight movement of existing items within the commission
- We kindly ask that you do not request major changes during the digital drawing process, as this resets any previous progress made on your commission. If you insist on a major change at this time, we will agree to it, but you will be notified of the extra costs that will be added to your original commission price. You have the options of:
- Agreeing to the updated commission price and moving forward with the new direction of the commission (this will extend the commission process by an additional 2-3 weeks)
- Disagreeing to the updated commission price and continuing with the original direction of the commission
- Disagreeing to the updated commission price and canceling the commission (you will not receive a refund your initial payment)
- When we agree on a completed commission, you will be sent Invoice #2. Once your commission is paid in full, you will receive everything included in your commission package (see Cute Loot Commission Package)
